Everyone begins inventing tales about the couple's courtship and Max's phenomenal professional success. When Greg arrives with his beautiful fiancée, Susan, a desperate Max begs Kyle to pose as her boyfriend. Regine suggests that Max bring a date, but Khadijah believes that Max should be happy with who she is. She arranges for the meal to be held at the girls' apartment. Max ignores Khadijah's advice and agrees to have dinner with Greg and his fiancée. Max receives several phone messages from her ex-boyfriend Greg, who had unceremoniously dumped her a year earlier. Synclaire sends Overton into the stratosphere with a kiss on the cheek, and he excitedly tells Kyle that he is six months ahead of schedule in Overton steps in and takes his place at the table, and later takes Synclaire bowling. She and Michael have a nice time, but he is called away on an emergency, thanks to a phone call set up by Overton. Synclaire is furious at their interference, and asks them to leave.
